This month sees the launch of our new Cancer Metabolism collection, alongside new research articles across the spectrum of biology.

Our research articles below include findings on the ancient role of oxytocin as a feeding regulator, a core gene set for switching between growth and development in cell fate decisions, and how rearrangements of the genomic landscape affect gene regulation. These join a Methodology article predicting the effect of non-coding variant effects on transcription factor-DNA binding from sequence, and research on a potential global role of FoxH1 in chromatin folding.

Our frontmatter content this month comes from our new Cancer Metabolism collection, which launches here with five reviews and a Q&A article covering diverse aspects of the altered metabolic program in cancer cells. The collection is open for submissions of research papers - see the homepage for more information and how to submit.

Our Focus collection across the BMC flagships this month is on Immunology in Health and Disease, comprising research on the landscape of T cell differentiation, moving beyond the hygiene hypothesis, immune tolerance in transplants, and how human population differences in DNA methylation affect immune gene regulation.
